Pooled Endowment Funds generate interest which is utilized to support key Orange Public Library initiatives for purchase and preservation of books and materials, children's programming, and technology. A donation of $5,000 or more sets up an individually named account that is collectively invested in perpetuity. Two such accounts already exist: One for local history, and the other for new library books and other materials.

Public-Use Computers may be supported for $2,500 apiece, with the donor recognized by name on a special wall plaque.

Furniture - tables and chairs throughout the libraries - may be named for $750 to $5,000 apiece, depending on the item. The donor will be recognized by name on a special wall plaque.

Local History Display Cases (4) in the Lobby of the new Orange Public Library & History Center are available for permanent naming recognition at $20,000 apiece. These walnut display cases contain rotating exhibits about Orange's unique history.

Adopt-A-Stack Endowments provide more books, music, and/or DVDs in the subject area of the donor's greatest interest. A $25,000 contribution (payable over several years if desired) is recognized with the donor's name on a plaque on a library bookcase.

Naming opportunities are still available at the Orange Public Library & History Center (Main Library) for major areas within that building. Call us at 714.288.2470 for more information

We honor our Annual Fund donors each year with our display plaque which is on the main staircase between the first and second floors.
Donations are tax deductible. OPLF is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization Fed I.D. # 33-0803671
Children and parents sit at library tables, reading together. Other youngsters research their homework assignments on library computers. Teens gather to talk about the latest animation DVDs or to study in small groups. In the library's meeting rooms, local organizations convene to strengthen shared interests, and free programs draw families to story times and other events. Adults log onto the library's Internet computers to look for jobs, explore travel possibilities, research a medical condition, or pursue educational opportunities. Throughout the library's book stacks, people of all ages browse for materials for pleasure reading or learning.

Thanks to your support, that's what a typical day looks like at Orange's public libraries - even in this challenging economy.
